Crazy Mtn Cold Brew Blend
12oz, 2lb, and 3lb bag options
A blend of three light and medium roasted coffees from Central and South America.
Tasting notes: Sweet, caramel with velvety mouth feel and smooth finish.
Cold brew coffee has become increasingly popular due to its smooth, full-bodied flavor. In addition, cold brew also has a velvety quality and is less acidic compared to traditional hot coffee. A common misconception is that cold brew and iced coffee are the same, yet their brewing processes are entirely different. Coffee “purists” will be glad to know that cold brew is often served without milk or cream. However, its sweet, smooth body can be easily enhanced by dairy or dairy substitutes. Cold brew can also be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, so when you’re in need of a little afternoon pick-me-up, it’s ready.
HOW TO MAKE COFFEE CONCENTRATE FOR COLD BREW
Pour 12 ounces of coarse ground CMCR cold brew blend coffee into container followed by 8 cups of filtered water. Stir coffee grounds gently with a spoon or spatula to ensure even saturation. Steep your coffee grounds at room temperature for 18-24 hours then strain coffee concentrate through cheesecloth, large coffee filter, or fine metal sieve. We recommend starting with 1 part coffee concentrate to 2 parts water or milk then adjust ratios to your taste. Serve over ice or try mixing concentrate with hot water for a smooth hot coffee. Coffee concentrate will stay fresh for up to two weeks in the refrigerator.
